“I wanted to share this testimony with the congregation and people of St Mark’s. The lady in this picture is a third year medical student that St. Mark’s took out of Kashasha (the village/school where the water project was) and supported through high school. She was awarded a scholarship for college. Before they could give it to her, paperwork had to be filled out to vouch that she was supported by St Mark’s in high school. Due to the generosity of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, she was able to begin her studies in the medical field. She is one of the many students that have been supported by St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. With our support, she is reaching out to all of the alumni of the St. Mark’s scholarship program to host an annual alumni, promotional, and fundraising event. She would like to host this event to ensure funds are available in the foreseeable future for other students like herself. Importantly for us, those who were helped, need to reach back and help someone else as a network, support, motivator, or volunteer in the village. Well done everyone, your work is appreciated and you have made a difference a world away. Thank you.” – Moja Kamala
