Leading the next generation
At St. Mark’s, our children and youth learn the truth about who God is and who they are because of Him. Our goal is to partner with parents to lead the next generation to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
Infants & Toddlers
We know how important your children are to you. They are important to us, too! That’s why we provide families with a wide range of options to help them worship and grow in their faith together.
Family Chapel
We understand that going places with a new baby can be stressful. That is why we offer parents several options to enable you to participate in worship, while also attending to the needs of your infants and children. Our Family Chapel allows you and your family to watch the service in comfort.
Infant & Toddler Nurseries
Our clean and secure Infant Nursery is open every Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Children who are 6 months through crawling receive high levels of care and attention from our nurturing and qualified staff.
Children who are walking through 4 years old receive high levels of care and attention in our Toddler Nursery.
Children’s Church
Each Sunday during the school year, Children’s Church offers young children an opportunity to learn Bible stories as as they have fun interacting with one another and the elements of worship.

Pre-K thru Kindergarten
Age-specific lessons capture the attention and imagination of preschoolers and Kindergarteners, while fun activities help them learn essential stories from the Bible.
Elementary
During their elementary years, children experience a teaching style they can relate to while connecting with others invested in their future and faith.
Middle School and High School Sunday School
Students in grade 7-12 are encouraged to be part of Sunday morning opportunities. Students are encouraged to attend Sunday school which is based on the weekly lectionary and small catechism. Students also have the option to get connected to the life of the congregation by joining choir, handbells, or are welcome to help with younger children in Sunday school.
Catechism
Catechism is for all students beginning in seventh grade to learn about God, their personal faith journeys, and what it means to be Lutheran. In 2023, this class is meeting twice a month. Students have the option to attend catechism class on Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings. Affirmation of Baptism will take place on Pentecost Sunday.
Youth Group
Youth group meets twice a month on Sunday evenings from 6-8 PM, from September to May. The youth group at St. Marks is very active and enjoys getting together for time of friendship, games, and devotion. The group is for students in grades 7-12. Each meeting, we play group games/team builders, then split for a time of age appropriate devotion and prayer. Youth group also incorporates elements and opportunities for service in the community throughout the year. During the summer months (June, July, August), youth group will meet on Wednesdays for service and adventure trips.
