St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Constitution
St. Mark’s Lutheran Church is considering an updated constitution, the first full revision since 1994. This page has everything you need to review the proposal before our two congregational meetings this fall.
Current Status: Draft pending Church Council approval in October. If the Council makes revisions, the documents on this page will be updated.
Why an Update?
Our current constitution was adopted in 1994. Since then, the ELCA’s governing documents, our ministry, and the way we organize ourselves have all changed. The proposed revision brings our constitution up to date while keeping who we are as a congregation.
For a summary of what’s changing and why, start with the Overview below.
