St. Mark’s has had a 20 year, ongoing relationship with the Hekima Girls School in Tanzania. Members have had the opportunity to sponsor students’ education. Most recently, St. Mark’s has developed a relationship with Kasahasha where we have worked on making water more accessible to the community.
Recently, we have also helped build a commuter lab and bring internet to the primary school and community. Part of our outreach benevolence supports missionaries Daudi and Kellen Msseemmaa in Tanzania.
Individuals and families obtain essentials, support, and education through the global outreach ministries at St. Mark’s. While working alongside of community members to encourage and empower them. It is important to continue building and maintaining existing relationships for positive change both globally and at St. Mark’s.
For many years, St. Mark’s has had neighborly relationship with the village, primary school and Lutheran Church of Kashasha, Tanzania. In November 2024, Wellington and Moja Kamala moved to Kashasha, Wellington’s home village. A mission team from St. Mark’s traveled with them to experience life in the village and to meet the children of the primary school and the girls who receive scholarships provided by St. Mark’s who attend the Hekima Girls School. The team also worshiped with the people of the Kashasha Parish and toured the local medical clinic that is funded by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tanzania. The team was welcomed with open arms! Imagine: How might God be calling us to love our neighbors in Tanzania in the future?
